I have stopped with the pilates and am currently on day 9 of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, and I do that about 5-6 times per week (I assumed the higher impact would be better for results). I also really like chocolate, and probably eat it more than I should (2-3 times per week). I'll usually have a beer or a glass of wine before bed, but I don't drink more than a couple beers a night more than once every couple months. At the beginning of this year, I started putting diet changes into effect - eating more fruits and veggies (raised on junk food - I used to be pretty lettuce and veggie-phobic, so making myself eat salads was a tough one, but I did it), drinking tons of water, and eating whole grains when I go for carbs. While I can sort of feel muscle tone developed under my bodyfat, I am not happy with the lack of results so far. I've been doing pilates three times a week and cardio twice a week for roughly the past six months, and saw no change in my body. I'd really like to get back down to about 120-125, but the number on the scale matters VERY little to me, as I'd much rather just be able to look at my body and feel great about it (I understand muscle can add weight, and I'm fine with that). I figured quitting smoking was as good a time as any to start putting the work in, getting healthy, and getting the body I always wanted. I quit smoking last summer, and have put on a little weight since then. I've been around this subreddit for a few months now gathering inspiration (you guys are GREAT!), but this is my first post!
